Britpop band Shed Seven return to the Usher Hall with their winter tour, Shedcember X.
Shed Seven are back at Usher Hall on Saturday 21 November, part of their winter tour, Shedcember X. It's a single-act bill, so they're the only name on the poster for the night.
If you're coming to them from the early days, you'll know where they sit. They were one of the big hitters during the Britpop heyday, and they built a catalogue of singles that produced seven Top 20 hits, including 'Going For Gold', 'Chasing Rainbows', 'Disco Down' and 'On Standby', along with four Top 10 albums. That run of singles is what most people associate them with, and it's the core of what they're known for.
Their following held steady after the band reformed in 2007, and they've kept working since. In 2017, Instant Pleasures debuted at number eight, their highest-charting record in eighteen years. So, while the Britpop era is where they started, they've continued to put out new material well into their second act.

On the night, the set will draw from that whole stretch, from the early singles to the later albums. It's a Saturday night in Edinburgh, and the show runs on a standard schedule: doors open at 19:00, with a curfew of 23:00.
