Annual awards ceremony and gala dinner recognising health and social care workers across Scotland, with more than 400 guests.
Scotland's Health Awards are back at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange on Thursday 12 November, from 6:30 pm to 11:00 pm. It's the third year the awards have run, put on by The Scotsman in partnership with NHS Scotland and the Scottish Government. The night is built around a ceremony and a gala dinner, and more than 400 guests are expected to be there.
The awards are about the people working in health and social care across Scotland who go above and beyond. That covers both the frontline staff you'll see in a clinic or a ward and the support roles that keep things running behind the scenes. The categories reach across the whole spectrum of the profession: midwives, nurses, and doctors, alongside healthcare scientists, pharmacists, volunteers, and support workers. There are also awards for innovation, mental health care, and tackling health inequalities, plus a reader's choice unsung hero award.

It's a broad sweep, so the people recognised come from all over the place—from the Western Isles to the Central Belt. The gala dinner is part of the evening, so it's as much a social night as it is a ceremony. If you're in the sector or know someone who is, it's a good chance to see those roles get a bit of the spotlight they don't always get. The whole thing runs from 6:30 pm to 11:00 pm at the Corn Exchange on 11 New Market Road, Edinburgh EH14 1RJ.
