Scotland host Australia in the Nations Championship 2026 at Scottish Gas Murrayfield.
Scotland take on Australia at Scottish Gas Murrayfield on Sunday 15 November, part of the 2026 Nations Championship. It's a big one for the home side: Scotland currently sit second in the Northern Hemisphere table after the Southern series, which saw them pick up away wins in Argentina and Fiji. Australia, the Wallabies, are also the hosts of the next Rugby World Cup in 2027, so there's plenty of form to keep an eye on coming into this.
The match itself is part of a new era for international rugby. The Nations Championship folds the Northern and Southern Hemisphere series into a single global competition, with three rounds in July replacing the old summer tours and three more in November taking the place of the autumn tests. The whole campaign culminates in a Finals Weekend at Allianz Stadium in London, where an ultimate international champion is crowned.
It's been a while since these two met on home soil. The last time they played at Scottish Gas Murrayfield was November 2024, and Scotland came out on top with a 27-13 win. That match was built on tries from captain Sione Tuipulotu, Duhan van der Merwe, and Finn Russell, so there's a bit of history to carry into this one.
