Hands-on craft workshop to make your own terrazzo number dish using eco-resin at Polymorphics in Abbeyhill.
Polymorphics are running a Scalloped Terrazzo Number Workshop at We Make Edinburgh on Friday 13 November, where you'll make your own terrazzo number dish. It's a hands-on session, so you'll be doing the work yourself rather than just watching.
The workshop is led by Lucy, the designer and tutor behind Polymorphics. She's been running creative workshops from her Abbeyhill studio since 2019, working alongside Amy, who runs The Edinburgh Craft Club — a venture that specialises in independent craft workshops across Scotland. Lucy describes herself as passionate about experimenting with materials and learning new skills, and her classes lean on eco-friendly materials, including the eco-resin she uses to cast jewellery and homeware.
That's the kind of thing you'll get stuck into here: working with resin to create a number dish in the terrazzo style, which gets its name from the speckled, composite look of the material. If you've never worked with resin before, it's a good place to start, and you'll walk away with something you've made from scratch.

Beyond the regular schedule, the studio also does private one-to-one sessions for adults and children, and team-building activities and craft parties for things like children's birthdays, hen parties, weddings and family gatherings. The workshop is at We Make Edinburgh, 18 Montrose Terrace, Abbeyhill, Edinburgh East EH7 5DL, on 13 November.
