Sapphic Speed Dating

CC Blooms is hosting a sapphic speed dating night on Wednesday 28 October, from 7pm to 10pm, with doors opening at 6.45pm. It's a night for women and non-binary people to meet other women and non-binary people, with the speed dating format doing the heavy lifting of introducing you to a room full of people in one go.

STQ Productions are putting the night on as a fundraiser for their new WLW TV show, Scottish Sapphics, so the ticket money goes towards getting that project off the ground. It's a fundraiser with a live music element running alongside the dating: Julia Hart, Josh McAuley, and a third act yet to be announced will be playing throughout the evening, so there's a soundtrack to the gaps between rounds.

One practical thing to keep in mind before you head over: the night is held in the venue's lab space, which is reached by stairs and has no wheelchair access. If that's a problem, it's worth knowing now rather than when you arrive.

Tickets are £16.96, and the whole thing runs from 7pm to 10pm at CC Blooms, 23-24 Calton Square, EH1 3AA.
