Charity fun run across Edinburgh from Tollcross to Portobello in aid of Social Bite Festival of Kindness, with a Santa costume included in the ticket.
Run Santa! Run! is a charity fun run across Edinburgh on Sunday 13 December, starting at Seamus's Pub at 15 Brougham Place in Tollcross and finishing at Dougal's Pub on Portobello High Street. It runs from 12:00 to 14:00, and the whole point is that you take it at your own pace: you can run, jog or walk, so there's no pressure to keep up with anyone in particular.
The route takes you from Tollcross through The Meadows, along Duddingston Road Lower and through Duddingston Village on a course described as mostly downhill. It's a fair stretch across the city, but since you're in charge of your own speed, it's as much about the company as the distance. A full Santa costume is included in the ticket, in one size only, so you'll be part of a sea of red all the way to the coast.

It's all in aid of Social Bite's Festival of Kindness, a campaign supporting people experiencing homelessness and food poverty at Christmas. When you cross the finish line at Dougal's, there's a pint of O'Hara's Stout or a soft drink waiting for you. The run is for ages 18 and over only, and tickets are non-refundable.
