Guitar virtuoso Robben Ford, with support from Connor Selby, brings his blend of blues, rock, jazz and fusion to The Queen's Hall.
Robben Ford plays The Queen's Hall on Friday 29 January 2027, with support from Connor Selby. Ford is a five-time Grammy nominee who's built his name on blending blues, rock, jazz and fusion, and he's coming to Edinburgh fresh from his latest album, Two Shades Of Blue.
His career goes back to the 1970s, when he started playing blues in the San Francisco Bay Area. Over the five decades since, he's worked with a long list of names: Joni Mitchell, Miles Davis, George Harrison, Bonnie Raitt and Bob Dylan. He was also voted among the top 100 guitarists of the century. Now 74, he's still active and continuing to push the boundaries of modern blues guitar.
The Queen's Hall is a 900-capacity venue on Clerk Street, built in 1823 as Hope Park Chapel and converted in 1979, when it was formally opened by Queen Elizabeth II on 6 July of that year. It books everything from classical and jazz to pop, rock, world, folk and comedy, and hosts shows for the Edinburgh International Festival, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and the Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival in the summer.
