CPD breakfast seminar bringing architects and landscape architects together to explore collaboration on climate resilience, housing, biodiversity and nature recovery.
The Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland is hosting a breakfast seminar on Thursday 12 November, bringing together architects and landscape architects to talk about how the two disciplines can work more effectively on shared goals. It's a joint effort between the RIAS and Landscape Institute (LI) Scotland, and the whole thing is supported by Confor, the Confederation of Forest Industries.
The session focuses on four areas where the two roles overlap: climate resilience, housing delivery, biodiversity, and nature recovery. The idea is to get people from both sides of the fence in the same room to figure out how they can collaborate better on the things they both care about. It runs as an in-person CPD session, so if you're in one of these professions, it counts towards your professional development.
Leading the conversation are Felicity Steers, Director at erz Ltd, and Sophie Logan, who runs her own consultancy. They'll be joined by Zoe Black and Tim Wilson, so there's a decent mix of voices on the panel rather than just one person talking at the room. Between them, they'll be working through those four themes—climate, housing, biodiversity, and nature recovery—and looking at how architects and landscape architects can coordinate their approach to them.
