Day of four workshops on kink and power dynamics, plus open forum dialogue, run by Quirky Co-Labs and strictly 18+.
Quirky Co-Labs are running Power Play: Deepening Kink Skills at August Coffee House on Sunday 22 November, from 10:00 to 16:30. It's the second half of an education weekend they've put together, and the whole thing is built around more than just making scenes hot — the focus is on building joy, communication and respect.
There are four workshops on the day. From Spark to Release looks at co-creating and negotiating scenes; Intuitive Topping and the Satisfying Struggle gets into the more instinctive side of topping; The Everyday Dominant considers D/s dynamics beyond the bedroom; and The Psychology of Power explores erotic humiliation. Between the sessions, there's open forum dialogue with the educators, so you can pick things up as you go rather than just sitting and listening. The workshops are delivered by what the organisers call world-class educators, and the day includes lunch breaks.
It's designed for all experience levels, genders and relationship styles, and for anyone exploring ethical non-monogamy. The organisers are clear that it's not therapy or clinical intervention. The venue is on the ground floor with two single steps, and there are a couple of house rules to keep in mind: vanilla, street-legal clothing and shoes are required at all times, and no electronic devices are allowed in the education space. Entry is strictly 18+, with an ID check for anyone under 25.
