Weekly Wednesday inclusive, trauma-informed yoga session for LGBTQIA+ people at Līla Yoga Studio.
Queer Yoga is back at Līla Yoga on Wednesday 28 October, part of their weekly Wednesday series. It's an inclusive, trauma-informed yoga practice run by the studio for LGBTQIA+ people, including trans, non-binary and gender-diverse folks, with the aim of building a supportive queer yoga community. There are no expectations on how you practice and plenty of options to connect with the breath, so you can take it at your own pace.
Each session is led by two members of the studio's teaching team — one lead teacher and one supporting — and the group is kept small, with a maximum of 14 people. The class itself runs for around 60 minutes of movement and meditation, and it finishes with tea and a chat, which is a nice way to wind down and actually meet the other people in the room rather than just heading straight back out into the Edinburgh night.
Because it's part of a weekly series, this isn't a one-off; it's something you can come back to every Wednesday if you fancy it. Three free tickets per class are sponsored by the National Lottery Community Fund, which helps keep it accessible.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Edinburgh and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
