Ska night with Edinburgh nine-piece PorkPie and a Christmas special from Pretty Green, with classics from The Specials, Bad Manners, Madness and The Beat.
PorkPie play The Queen's Hall on Friday 11 December, with Pretty Green (The Jam) Christmas Special joining them on the bill. It's a nine-piece Edinburgh band, and they're built in the mould of the classic big ska outfit: full brass section, keys, guitars, and porkpie hats to match. They describe themselves as standing at the heart of the UK's modern ska revival, blending the fire of classic 2-Tone with their own energy.
They've been busy over the last few years, with two full-length albums and an EP to their name. Their self-titled EP Skandemic was a turning point for them, and 2025 brought their second album, 9 On the Tiles. The single 'Bones' from that record became a breakout success and a favourite of Craig Charles on BBC Radio 6 Music. In April 2026 they played the London International Ska Festival alongside Misty in Roots and The Cimarons.
Alongside their own material, the night takes in classics from The Specials, Bad Manners, Madness and The Beat. So you'll get their own songs and the 2-Tone staples that sit behind them.
