Live show by Irish pop-rock band Picture This, known for their cinematic style and viral hit 'Take My Hand', at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange.
Picture This play the Edinburgh Corn Exchange on Friday 13 November, their first Edinburgh show in a while. They're an Irish band from Athy, County Kildare, and they've built a fair bit of a name for themselves over the last decade.
It started with childhood friends Ryan Hennessy and Jimmy Rainsford, who later brought in Owen Cardiff and Cliff Deane to make them a four-piece. They emerged with a cinematic pop-rock sound, and their song 'Take My Hand', uploaded in 2015, went viral and put them on the map. From there, the EP For You (2016) and their self-titled debut album (2017) both hit No.1 on the Irish charts, with the album going triple platinum and topping the streaming chart for seven weeks. All three of their albums have reached No.1, they've amassed 450 million streams, and they've sold out Dublin's 3Arena.
They're known for vivid storytelling and deeply personal lyrics, and that's a good way to describe what they do: songs that lean into the narrative side of things rather than just a hook. That's taken them from the smaller stages to headlining stadiums and arenas in Ireland and playing prestigious venues across the UK, so this is a proper headline show rather than a support slot.

Doors open at 19:00, with a curfew of 23:00, so it's a full evening. One thing to keep in mind: the show is for over-14s only, so if you're bringing anyone younger, it's worth double-checking before you head down to the Corn Exchange on Newmarket Road.
