Paint and Sip - Snowy Japan | The Alchemist

Paintvine are bringing their paint and sip sessions to The Alchemist George Street on Thursday 5 November, and this one is themed around Snowy Japan. The whole thing runs from 7:00pm to around 8:30 or 9:00pm, and they ask that you arrive by 6:45pm to get settled before you start.

If you've never done one of these, the format is straightforward: you're painting the same image as everyone else in the room, and a professional artist leads the way, talking you through it step-by-step. You don't need any prior experience to join in, and they make a point of keeping the room judgement-free, so complete beginners sit alongside more seasoned painters. Across the UK, Paintvine have welcomed more than 80,000 guests and run sessions in over 20 cities, always in licensed venues where you can buy drinks from the bar while you work. The night is strictly over-18s, and the organisers take photos throughout the session to post on their social pages. They also handle all the cleaning up afterwards, so you only have to carry your finished piece home.
