Late-night house, UK garage and breaks night presented by Origins with a special guest at The Bongo Club.
Origins are taking over The Bongo Club on Thursday 14 January, with a special guest yet to be announced. It's a late one, running from 23:00 through to 03:00, so it's more of a night out than a quick trip in and out.
As for what you'll hear, the night is built around house, UK garage and breaks. It's a selection that leans into the club's long-standing association with those sounds, rather than a single genre. The guest is still a secret for now, but they'll be in the booth alongside Origins, and the music will keep moving across those three styles throughout the night.
The Bongo Club has been a part of the Edinburgh scene since it opened in 1996, and it's built its reputation as a home for house and UK garage. The venue works across two rooms—a main room and an upper room—with a stage, a lower bar and a smoking area. In the main room, they run a Danley Sound Labs PA system, so the sound is handled with a bit of weight behind it.
