Daytime rave of 90s and 00s anthems with a guest set from Forth 1's Garry Spence.
Old Skool Days comes to Club Tropicana on Saturday 7 November, a daytime rave for the over-25s that runs from 14:30 to 19:30. The whole thing is built around five hours of 90s and 00s bangers and old skool anthems, so the music stays firmly in that era rather than drifting into the current charts. It's a proper afternoon session, which means you're in and out while it's still light, rather than staying up until the early hours.
Taking the guest set is Garry Spence, who you'll recognise from Forth 1. He'll be handling the decks for his slot, and with the whole afternoon dedicated to those two decades, you can expect the set to lean on the same 90s and 00s territory as the rest of the day. It's a good shout if you're after a dance but don't fancy a late one.
The over-25s tag is part of the pitch, so it's aimed at a crowd that remembers those years first-hand rather than a younger one. If you've spent your fair share of time with 90s and 00s dance music, it's right up your street. The five-hour window gives plenty of room to settle in, and with the guest set from Spence, there's a bit of a focal point to the afternoon.
