Nearly Dan, a tribute act to Steely Dan, brings its long-running show of the band's classic albums to The Liquid Room in Edinburgh's Old Town.
Nearly Dan bring their Steely Dan tribute to The Liquid Room on Friday 2 April 2027. The band is built around the work of Donald Fagen and Walter Becker, and they describe their approach as less reverential and more faithful, bringing its own spontaneous humour to the stage.
It's a long-running act. Steely Dan's first album, Can't Buy a Thrill, came out over 50 years ago, and Nearly Dan is now in its 30th year of touring. The set list pairs deep cuts with the band's classic albums, running from Countdown to Ecstasy and The Royal Scam through to Aja and Gaucho, and it also pulls from Donald Fagen's solo record, The Nightfly.
