Two-day Christmas craft market with more than 30 handmade stalls and festive creative workshops at the Out of the Blue Drill Hall in Leith.
MNB Scotland CIC is bringing its winter craft market to the Out of the Blue Drill Hall in Leith on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 December. It's the Christmas edition of their signature craft market, this time staged in collaboration with Out of the Blue at the Drill Hall, one of Edinburgh's long-standing creative spaces. For the first time in MNB's history, the Christmas event runs across two full days rather than one, with more than 30 curated stalls each day.
The market is pitched as an alternative to the city's mass-produced gift markets, and it sticks to a strict 100% handmade policy: no drop-shipped goods and no AI-generated work. The focus is on independent makers, artists and creatives instead. Alongside the stalls, there are four festive creative workshops ticketed separately by the co-hosts, and seasonal food and drink from the Drill Hall Café.
There's a sensory hour on the Saturday morning, from 10am to 11am, with no music and no flashing lights for anyone who finds the usual bustle a bit much. Founder Selena Gray described the move to a two-day format as a big moment for MNB, while Out of the Blue chief executive Rob Hoon noted that giving artists space to create and sell their work helps them earn a living.
