Meet The Artists - Innovations 2026

Meet The Artists comes to Summerhall Arts on Friday 6 November, as part of the Innovations Dance Platform 2026 Industry Programme. It's run by Dance Horizons and takes place in the Library Gallery Space, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

If you're not familiar with the format, it's an artists' pitching event. The room brings together dance artists and choreographers with producers, programmers, presenters and other industry professionals. The session works through a series of short pitches, where artists present their creative projects, their performance ideas and their ambitions. It's a fast-paced way of seeing what's coming up across the field, with each pitch giving a snapshot of a different project.

Because the pitches come from so many different places, the afternoon offers a look at the diversity, innovation and future direction of contemporary dance. You'll hear about work at various stages — some just starting to take shape, others closer to the stage — and the range of voices involved. Once the pitches are finished, there's time for networking, so you can catch up with the artists and the other people in the room.

It's a professional gathering, so the pricing reflects that: registered industry delegates get in for free, and non-delegate tickets are £7.50. It runs from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Friday 6 November at Summerhall Arts, in the Library Gallery Space.
