Weekly Wednesday lunchtime contemplative gathering with a guided Yoga Nidra rest practice at St Mark's, Unitarians.
St Mark's, Unitarians in Edinburgh is hosting a lunchtime Yoga Nidra and contemplative gathering on Wednesday 28 October, part of a regular midweek series they run. It's split into two halves: a contemplative gathering from 1.00 to 1.30pm, followed by a Yoga Nidra session from 1.35 to 2.00pm. You can drop in for one or stay for both.
The gathering is run by the Unitarians in Edinburgh, who describe it as a 'little breathing space in your week'. They approach church with open minds, so you don't need to share their beliefs or be religious to feel at home there, and there's no pressure to speak or take part. It's a quiet, low-stakes way to spend a bit of your lunch hour.
The Yoga Nidra part is a guided rest practice. You sit or lie down comfortably and are led through a gentle noticing of the body and breath, with nothing to achieve. There are no stretches or poses, and you don't need any prior experience to join in. It's entirely in person, so you'll be there in the room rather than following along online.
