Line dance class for all experience levels, led by instructor Lynsey, teaching new American line dances.
Line Dance Class is at Edinburgh College (Granton Campus) on Thursday 22 October, starting at 18:30. It's an evening of line dancing in the Granton area, and it's open to all experience levels, so you don't need to have a step to your name to turn up.
The class focuses on the latest line dances straight from the honky tonks and dance halls of America. In each session, the lead instructor breaks down one or two new dances step by step, and there's plenty of practice time left over to get the moves right. It's a good way to pick up a couple of new routines in one go, rather than just following along from the back of the room.
That's where Lynsey comes in. She's the head cowgirl and lead instructor, and she's just moved back to the UK after living and dancing across the US, so she's bringing the dances back from the source. She's the one who'll be breaking down the steps for the group, and the session is designed to be accessible regardless of where you're starting from.

As for what to wear, you can turn up in boots or trainers, so there's no need to go full costume unless you want to. The only hard rule is that everyone must be 18 or over. The class runs at Edinburgh College (Granton Campus), 350 West Granton Road, Edinburgh, EH5 1QE, on Thursday 22 October from 18:30, and it costs £8.
