Six-class introduction to partner dancing for two using the Ceroc style, taught in Edinburgh.
Ceroc is running a six-class introduction to partner dance in Edinburgh, starting on Monday 26 October. It's designed for two people to take together, so it's one of those things you bring a partner for rather than turning up on your own.
Ceroc is a style taught across the UK and Ireland, and the whole point of these classes is that they're meant to transfer. The moves you pick up here aren't just for Ceroc; they're intended to carry over into other formal styles like Salsa, Ballroom and Latin American, Tango, Bachata, Zouk, Street Dance, Contemporary, Jive and Modern Jive. If you've ever wanted to try a few different types of partner dancing without starting from scratch every time, that's the angle they're working to.
Beyond the classes themselves, Ceroc runs a Ceroc Hub with online tutorials and videos for anyone who prefers to learn from home, alongside beginner evenings and workshops. It's all part of a national campaign they're running to get the UK dancing, so this isn't just a one-off course but part of a wider setup. If you find you've got the bug after the six weeks, there's plenty more to move into.
