Kyle Falconer (The View)

Kyle Falconer plays DreadnoughtRock on Sunday 25 October, as part of a run of intimate venue dates touring his new album. Falconer is the frontman of The View, the Dundee band that first put him on the map, and this show is billed as a one-act night, so he's the only name on the bill.

The set is expected to lean on both his solo material and The View classics, so you'll hear the newer songs alongside the older ones. It's a good way to get a sense of where he's at now and where he came from in one go, rather than having to choose between the two. If you've followed him since the early days, the View songs will be familiar territory; if you're coming to the new record, the solo stuff will take centre stage.

It's an all-ages night, so it's one you can bring younger ones along to. Doors open at 18:00, and the whole thing is expected to wrap by 21:00, which makes it a fairly early one for a Sunday evening. Tickets start from £29.12.
