Pre-Halloween club night with DJs SallyTM, Bambi Milan and Zak and gogo dancers at the People's Leisure Club.
Konversion returns to People's Leisure Club on Wednesday 28 October for a pre-Halloween bonanza. It's a homecoming of sorts, as the night is returning to its birthplace, and it's produced by Mystika Glamoor. The whole thing is built around fierce DJs and gogo dancers, and it's described as a night that fits in on queer Edinburgh's biggest.
On the decks are three DJs: SallyTM, known from RuPaul's Drag Race; Bambi Milan, coming in from Copenhagen; and Zak, from Bolton. With the gogo dancers added in, it's a full dancefloor setup rather than just a DJ set.
People's Leisure Club, at 45 Lothian Street, dates back to 1862 and has historically focused on community welfare and social activities. As a club venue it holds 150. The room is down a flight of stairs with a sturdy handrail, and there are quiet areas and private booths throughout for anyone who gets overwhelmed on the dance floor.
