A day of post-punk and indie veterans headlined by Peter Hook and The Light, with The Wedding Present, Chameleons and The Armoury Show.
Peter Hook and The Light headline Interzone at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange on Saturday 22 May 2027. Presented by JS Promotions, the day brings together a bill of post-punk and indie veterans, with The Wedding Present, Chameleons and The Armoury Show sharing the stage.
At the top of the bill are Peter Hook and The Light, led by the legendary bassist of Joy Division and New Order. Hook is known for bringing the classic catalogues of both bands back to the stage with raw intensity, so the set draws on the songs that defined two of the most influential bands in British music. Below them, The Wedding Present bring a mix of jangling guitars, sharp lyricism and indie-rock spirit. Chameleons are described as masters of atmospheric post-punk, whose sweeping guitars and emotional intensity made them one of the most influential acts of their era. And The Armoury Show, fronted by Richard Jobson of The Skids, is an influential band whose work played a significant role in the evolution of the UK underground scene.
It's a day that leans heavily on the post-punk and indie lineage, with four bands from that tradition on one bill. The Armoury Show's connection to the underground scene, Chameleons' atmospheric guitar work, The Wedding Present's jangle, and Hook's Joy Division and New Order material cover a fair bit of ground within that sound. The whole thing is presented by JS Promotions.
