Hands-on interior design masterclass led by Aleksandra J. Hannah of Skela Studio, covering floor plans, lighting and presentation boards, with a sit-down lunch.
Aleksandra J. Hannah is running an interior design masterclass at The Scotsman Hotel on Saturday 6 February 2027, from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm. Hannah runs Skela Studio, an interior design practice based right here in Edinburgh, and she's leading the day herself. It's aimed at beginners and enthusiasts, so you don't need any previous experience to join in.
The morning starts with the practical side of things: floor planning and drawing to scale, the kind of groundwork that usually stays behind the scenes. From there, it moves on to lighting techniques and the secrets of a professional presentation board — how to pull your ideas together into something you can actually show. In the middle, there's a sit-down lunch of tea, coffee and cake, so you've got a proper break to stretch your legs and chat with the other people in the room. All the materials and refreshments are provided, which means you just need to turn up.

Past participants have talked about the hands-on approach and the confidence it gave them to start experimenting with their own interiors, so it's less of a lecture and more of a working day. The whole thing runs for five hours, from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm, at The Scotsman Hotel on North Bridge. Tickets are £203.31, and you can get a refund up to 30 days before the date if your plans change.
