Award-winning comedian Ian Stone brings his stand-up show 'Looking for the Wow' to The Stand Comedy Club, strictly for over-18s.
Ian Stone brings his show Looking for the Wow to The Stand Comedy Club on Saturday 21 November. It's a return to the city after a sold-out tour that's already hit more than 40 towns and cities across the UK. The tour was originally set to wrap up in June, but it's been extended through to December 2026, so this is one of the later dates.
Stone is an award-winning comedian who's spent plenty of time on stage, performing at major comedy festivals and venues around the world. He picked up the Spirit of the Fringe Award in 2023 and has built over 90,000 followers across social media. Outside of stand-up, he's a broadcaster, podcaster and writer. He presents the twice-weekly Arsenal podcast Handbrake Off for The Athletic, which pulls in around 50,000 downloads an episode, and he's a regular contributor on Times Radio. He also wrote the book To Be Someone, published in 2020.
Looking for the Wow is the show he's been taking around the country, and the summary describes it as a search for life's missing magic. It's strictly for over-18s, so it's an adult night out rather than a family affair.

Doors open at 15:00, and the show runs from 16:00 to 18:00, which puts it in the afternoon rather than the usual late-night comedy slot. Tickets start from £20.
