Halloween party at Home Bar in Edinburgh with decorations, costumes and activities around Halloween night.
Homestreet Halloween is taking over Home Bar on Friday 30 October, one of the city's themed nights as Halloween kicks off across Edinburgh. It runs from 8:30pm through to 1:00am, so it's a late one that carries you well past midnight.
If you're not already familiar with how Halloween works here, the city usually splits its personality across the week. The younger crowd spends the days visiting haunted houses and trick-or-treating around the neighbourhoods, while the adults head to themed parties in basement clubs and pub function rooms. The arts centres usually put on horror-themed events that lean into the theatrical side of things, blending art with a bit of a fright. The whole thing centres on 31 October, but the celebrations run across a good range of venues, from seasonal holiday spaces to local pubs and clubs that get transformed into haunted haunts with decorations, costumes and activities throughout the evening.
Homestreet Halloween fits right into that second half of the picture — the themed party side of the city's celebrations. It's held at Home Bar, and since it's a Halloween night, you'll find the usual decorations and costumes that turn a regular pub into something a bit more seasonal for the occasion. It's one of the many ways the city marks the date, alongside the haunted houses and the arts centre events that run throughout the week.
