One-hour one-to-one sewing session with an experienced Hobbycraft colleague to help set up a sewing machine or learn a new technique.
Hobbycraft in Edinburgh is running one-to-one sewing workshops, with a session on Wednesday 28 October. It's a full hour of your own time with an experienced Hobbycraft colleague, and the whole thing is bespoke to what you actually need. If you've got a sewing machine sitting in a cupboard and you're not quite sure how to get it going, this is a good place to start. If you're already sewing but there's a particular technique you've been struggling with, you can spend the hour working through it.
One of the better bits is that you can send over the topics and areas you want to focus on before the session, so the colleague can have things ready for you rather than spending the first ten minutes figuring out where to begin. It's a one-to-one, so you're not following a group through a set project; the guidance stays on your specific questions for the full hour. It's open to anyone aged 14 and over, and because it's a one-to-one, you'll have their full attention throughout.

The workshop is part of a wider offering across 98 Hobbycraft stores in the UK, with a variety of dates and times at each location, so if the 28th doesn't suit, there are other slots to look at. It's £28 for the hour, and they recommend booking at least four weeks in advance to get the date and time that works for you.
