Free winter market with more than 40 stalls of independent artists, makers and designers, seasonal food and handmade gifts, pet-friendly.
HelloArt returns to The Out of the Blue Drill Hall on Saturday 21 November for its final market of 2026. It's a winter edition, so the room will be filled with more than 40 stalls of independent artists, makers, designers and creative brands, alongside seasonal food and handmade gifts. They've pitched the day as a winter celebration of Edinburgh's creative community, and it's pet-friendly, so you can bring the dog along.
The venue itself is the home of Out of the Blue, an independent cultural social enterprise and one of Scotland's leading community, cultural and arts development organisations. They support artists facing barriers to creativity by providing workspace and selling opportunities, and by passing skills on to the local community. The trust is a company limited by guarantee with charitable status and two trading subsidiaries, The Bongo Club Ltd and Out of the Blue Productions.
It's a good spot for Christmas shopping if you're looking for something a bit more thoughtful than the high street. With over 40 stalls, you'll find a wide range of work from independent makers and designers, and the seasonal food and handmade gifts make it a one-stop shop for a few different things at once. Since it's the final market of the year, it's a chance to see what the local creative community has been up to throughout 2026.
