Spooky outdoor ghost walk through the historic back streets of Leith, guided by North Edinburgh Nightmares.
North Edinburgh Nightmares are taking the Haunted Leith Ghost Walk out on Tuesday 27 October, starting at 19:30 from the Scottish Merchant Navy Memorial on Shore Tower Place. They bill it as their 'ultimate terror tour', and it's a spooky stroll through the historic back streets of Leith rather than a seated show.
As you walk, the guide unravels tales of pirates, plagues, skullduggery and the restless ghosts of the Port of Leith, playing the area's maritime past against its more macabre reputation. It's a good way to see a side of the neighbourhood you might usually walk right past, with the stories tied to the streets and the waterfront as you go.
There are a couple of practical things to keep in mind before you book. The walk is held outdoors, so you'll want to dress for the weather. It's also not recommended for younger children: under-14s must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. If you're planning to bring the family, that's the one to check first.
