Halloween Headspin

The Headspin crew are taking over The Street Bar And Nightclub on Saturday 31 October for Halloween Headspin, a six-hour afternoon session that runs from 15:00 to 21:00. It's a Halloween-themed club night in the heart of Edinburgh, and since it's an afternoon one, you'll be out by nine rather than staying up until the early hours.

Behind the decks are Colin Millar, Steve Austin and Allan Dunbar, who'll be mixing house, hip hop, funk, disco and nu disco across the whole six hours. The organisers describe it as a "frightening and funky afternoon of freaky dancing and monstrous music", and the broad range of styles they're pulling from suggests the dancefloor will shift through a fair few moods over the course of the day.

It's an over-18s event, so you'll need to bring photo ID for the door. Tickets start from £5, and with the 15:00 start, it's as much a daytime thing as a night out. The venue is The Street Bar And Nightclub, 2B Picardy Place, Edinburgh, EH1 3JT.
