Art fair featuring painting, sculpture, photography and mixed media from local and international artists, with the Henry Raeburn Prize.
The Greyfriars Edinburgh Art Fair takes over Greyfriars Kirk in the Old Town on Friday 23 and Saturday 24 October, bringing together painting, sculpture, photography, illustration and mixed-media work from established and emerging artists across Scotland and abroad. The pieces on show are for sale, so it's as much about browsing as it is about seeing.
The venue is part of the experience. Greyfriars Kirk is a 17th-century church completed in 1620, and its old stone and tall windows work as part of the exhibition. The fair is organised by ICM Gestora Cultural, a cultural management company based in Barcelona. Among the names appearing are Bertie Fritsch and AMOVE Gallery.
The weekend closes with the Henry Raeburn Prize, named after one of Scotland's most celebrated portrait painters and a defining figure of the Scottish Enlightenment. A panel of curators selects four recipients.
