Graham Gouldman, 10cc co-founder, plays his songs in a semi-acoustic/electric set with Heart Full of Songs at the Pleasance Courtyard.
Graham Gouldman plays Pleasance Courtyard on Friday 23 October, performing with his band Heart Full of Songs. He's the co-founder of 10cc, and the set draws from a catalogue that spans several bands over more than five decades.
Heart Full of Songs started more than ten years ago as a three-piece supporting 10cc concerts, and it's since grown into a stand-alone semi-acoustic/electric four-piece. Gouldman describes the project as a way to play the songs he wrote or co-wrote in their simplest form, and the setlist reflects that. From 10cc come 'I'm Not In Love', 'Dreadlock Holiday' and 'Rubber Bullets'; from The Hollies, 'Bus Stop' and 'Look Through Any Window'; from The Yardbirds, 'For Your Love' and 'Heart Full of Soul'; and 'No Milk Today' from Herman's Hermits. He also plays 'Bridge To Your Heart' from his time with Andrew Gold as Wax, along with film soundtrack and solo material.
There's more recent work to fit in too. He was awarded an MBE in the 2025 King's Birthday Honours for services to music, and his latest album, I Have Notes, features Ringo Starr, Brian May, Hank Marvin and Albert Lee. The night is billed as Graham Gouldman & Heart Full of Songs, with the band playing the songs he wrote or co-wrote across those different bands.
