Greek folk act Gidiki, with their 2024-2025 viral hits, play The Voodoo Rooms, the over-18s venue on West Register Street.
Gidiki are back at The Voodoo Rooms on Wednesday 11 November, their first Edinburgh date since their last visit. They're one of the hottest new acts in the Greek folk scene, and this is a headline show with them as the sole feature of the night.
If the name doesn't ring a bell, it's worth knowing where they're coming from. Gidiki are at the forefront of the folk revival currently moving through Greece, and they've spent the last couple of years building a real presence there. Two of their songs, 'Αφούσης' and 'Το Γλέντι', became viral hits in 2024 and 2025, and that's the kind of momentum they're bringing to the stage here.
It's a straightforward bill: Gidiki are the only act on the night, so the whole set is theirs. The music sits within that folk revival they're part of, and the viral success of those two tracks gives you a good sense of the songs that have been doing the heavy lifting for them lately.
