A brand-new live show celebrating the unforgettable songs that have made movie moments magical, presented by Gareth Malone.
Gareth Malone brings his new live show, Sing-A-Long-A-Gareth: At The Movies, to The Queen's Hall on Thursday 15 October. It's a brand-new show built around the songs that have made movie moments magical, so the whole set is a celebration of the most iconic music from cinema history.
If you're not familiar with him, Malone is a British choirmaster and broadcaster who describes himself as an 'animateur, presenter and populariser of choral singing'. He's a fellow of the Royal Academy of Music, where he studied with Janice Chapman and Jonathan Papp, and he's picked up a few honours along the way: an honorary doctorate from the University of East Anglia, the Freedom of the City of London in 2010, and an OBE in the 2012 Queen's birthday honours for services to music.
Most people will recognise him from the BAFTA award-winning series The Choir, followed by The Choir: Boys Don't Sing, The Choir: Unsung Town and The Choir: Military Wives. He's also Patron of the Military Wives Foundation. Since 2012, he's made two series of Sing While You Work for BBC2, and he's had three number one UK records with the Military Wives Choir and the Gareth Malone All Star Choir for Children in Need.

This particular show is a new one, so it's not a repeat of anything he's done before. It's all about those big, recognisable songs from the cinema, and it's a live celebration of them. The Queen's Hall is at 85-89 Clerk Street in Edinburgh South, EH8 9JG. It starts at 7:30pm, and tickets are £40.25.
