Third edition of Edinburgh's independent spirits festival, with tastings from distilleries and producers, food vendors, a live band and masterclasses.
Funky Booze returns to Leith Arches on Saturday 30 January, its third edition since it first launched. It's Edinburgh's independent spirits festival, built on the idea that January doesn't have to be dull. This time it's back bigger, bolder and funkier than before, taking over Leith Arches in the heart of Leith for a single day.
The main draw is the tasting: you can sample spirits from independent bottlers, distilleries, breweries, wineries and artisan producers from across Scotland and beyond. Food vendors and a live band keep the atmosphere going throughout the day, so it's as much about hanging out as it is about the drinks. The day is split across two three-hour sessions, and masterclasses led by respected figures from the drinks industry run alongside a festival shop where you can take a bottle home. Entry is for over-18s only.
