Foy Vance performs live in support of his new album The Wake, with special guest Bonnie Bishop.
Foy Vance plays The Queen's Hall on Saturday 17 October, part of his World Tour running through 2026 and 2027. He's supported by Bonnie Bishop.
Northern Irish singer and songwriter, Vance works across folk, soul, blues, gospel and jazz, and he's often compared to Otis Redding, Richie Havens, Tom Waits and Van Morrison. He's described as a modest artist operating well away from industry standards, with a sublime voice, a funky guitar style and a clever turn of phrase.
He arrives at the show having just completed The Wake, the seventh and final instalment in a cycle of albums he began after his father's sudden death in 1999. In the process, he raided an archive of more than a hundred songs he'd kept guarded for 27 years. Produced by Anderson East, his eighth album IF gathers those reimagined songs and features co-writes with Lori McKenna, Natalie Hemby, Gabe Simon and Ross Copperman.
