Annual tasting evening at Drinkmonger where guests move between stands to sample Madeira, Sherry, Port and other fortified and sweet wines.
Drinkmonger is hosting its annual Fortified Wine Mini Fair on Tuesday 10 November, an evening dedicated to fortified and sweet wines. It's a mini-festival format built for wandering: you collect a glass on arrival and move between the tasting stands at your own pace, rather than following a set programme. That means you can spend as long as you like at one stand or drift through them all in a row, and you'll get to meet the producers and hear the stories behind the wines as you go.
The selection covers the rich, complex flavours of Madeira, the many styles of Sherry, characterful Ports, and sweet wines from across the globe. It's a broad spread, so you can revisit old favourites and discover something you've never tried before in the same room. The night is hosted alongside Royal Mile Whiskies, and attendees get 10% off in-store purchases on the night, which is a handy thing to keep in mind if you find something you'd rather take home than just taste.
