Hands-on festive workshop to hand-pour your own soy wax candle with dried botanicals and make an essential oil aromatherapy rollerball.
John Lewis Edinburgh is hosting a Festive Scented Candle Making Workshop on Thursday 19 November, from 4:30 pm to 6 pm. It's part of their Hands-On Christmas Craft Workshops collection, a series of festive making classes they're running through the season.
Inside the session, a guest fragrance artisan takes you through the process: you hand-pour your own soy wax candle, finish it off with dried botanicals and herbs, and then formulate a personal essential oil aromatherapy rollerball to take home alongside it. The workshop is pitched as a relaxing, sensory masterclass—a bit of Christmas self-care for yourself, or a hand-poured gift for someone else. No prior experience is needed, so you don't need to have ever made a candle before to get involved.
It's a mid-week evening slot, so it works as a late-afternoon break or a way to start your evening. The session runs for an hour and a half, and you'll leave with both the candle and the rollerball. It's exclusive to My John Lewis members, though you can book additional tickets for guests if you're bringing someone along. If your plans change, refunds are available up to seven days before the event.
