Quarterly peer support network meeting for third sector chief officers in Edinburgh, with refreshments and networking.
The Chief Officers Group meets at the Edinburgh Voluntary Organisations' Council on Thursday 25 February, the next session in a peer support network for third sector chief officers across the city. It's run by EVOC, which plays a big part in supporting Edinburgh's third sector organisations, and it's built for chief officers who can find themselves in a lonely position, caught between their staff and their board.
The meetings happen once a quarter, and the agenda is shaped by the members' own needs rather than a fixed programme. Each session aims to give them practical tools and ideas to take back to their organisations, and to help them build their skills and resilience. It's an in-person format that runs for two and a half hours, with refreshments and networking as part of the morning.
It's a morning thing: doors open at 09:00, and the meeting itself gets going at 09:30, so you've got half an hour to grab a coffee and catch up with people before things start. The whole session runs until 11:30, which leaves you with the rest of the day still ahead of you. It's held at EVOC's offices at 61-63 London Road, Edinburgh EH7 6AA.
