EUFC Winter Ball 2026

The Edinburgh University Fencing Club are hosting their Winter Ball at The Scotsman Hotel on Saturday 28 November, and they're billing it as their biggest event of the year. It's a black-tie night of food, dancing and atmosphere, and it's not just for the club members — it's open to fencers at other universities and their friends, too.

The evening is split into three distinct parts. It kicks off with dinner at 18:00, followed by a ceilidh at 20:30, and then an afterparty from 23:00. If you go for the dinner tickets, you'll get a three-course meal to start the night. Every ticket, though, gives you access to the ceilidh, the raffle and the afterparty, so you can join in for the dancing and the late-night side of things even if you skip the meal.

It's a black-tie affair, so you'll want to dust off your formal wear for this one. The venue is The Scotsman Hotel at 20 North Bridge, EH1 1TR, right in the heart of the city. Tickets start from £19, and with the dinner, ceilidh and afterparty all under one roof, it's a long night that takes you from a sit-down meal through to the early hours.
