Free educational exhibition from the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh's Museum in a Box collection, exploring four infectious diseases for students.
Epidemics is on at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh from Monday 19 October to Friday 13 November 2026, open 9am to 4pm. It's part of the college's Museum in a Box collection, and this particular kit lets you get stuck into four infectious diseases: smallpox, the plague, cholera and covid-19.
Inside the box are four activity packs, a folder of archive materials and thirteen objects, one of which is a plague mask. It's designed for students from P5 to S2, and the whole thing is available on loan to schools in Edinburgh and the surrounding areas, so it's as much a resource for classrooms as it is something to see at the college.
