Detroit garage rock and disco punk band Electric Six play The Queen's Hall with special guests The Oozes.
Electric Six play The Queen's Hall on Saturday 28 November, with The Oozes opening for them. It's a Saturday night in the city, and the headliners are the Detroit rockers known for a live show that mixes garage rock, disco and punk.
If the name doesn't ring a bell, you've probably heard the song that put them on the map. They started out as The Wildbunch before changing their name and selling out their first major UK tour on the back of the single 'Danger! High Voltage'. Since then, they've kept at it, putting out fifteen studio albums. Their sound comes from a strange mix of influences — new romantic and nu-metal with disco thrown in — and that's a fair way to describe what they do on stage, too.
The Queen's Hall bills the night as 'the cure-all for the year-end blahs', a high-energy rock and roll show that brings their fans back year after year. It's recommended for ages 14 and over, and anyone under 16 has to be accompanied by an adult.
