1872 Cup rugby derby between Edinburgh Rugby and Glasgow Warriors at Murrayfield, the oldest club derby in world rugby.
Edinburgh Rugby take on Glasgow Warriors at Scottish Gas Murrayfield on Sunday 27 December, with a 3:00pm kick-off. It's the first leg of the 1872 Cup, the annual derby between the two Scottish sides.
The 1872 Cup is billed as Scotland's oldest derby and the oldest club derby in world rugby. It draws its history from the heritage of Scottish rugby, tracing back to the first inter-district game at Burnbank to the professional derbies of today. This particular clash carries extra weight as the only 1872 Cup meeting between the two over the festive period, and the second and deciding leg follows in Glasgow's Hampden Park in April.
