AfPP regional conference for perioperative teams with evidence-based sessions, specialist exhibitors and 5.5 CPD hours.
The Edinburgh Regional Conference comes to the John McIntyre Conference Centre on Saturday 14 November, one of six regional days the Association for Perioperative Practice (AfPP) is running throughout 2026. It follows a similar series they put on in 2025, and the aim is the same: bringing high-calibre, evidence-based education directly to perioperative teams. The sessions are aligned with national guidelines and professional standards, and they're led by clinical experts and thought leaders.
The programme focuses on the growing demands facing operating theatre teams — adopting innovative surgical technologies, championing patient safety, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, all with the aim of improving patient outcomes. One of the scheduled sessions is from Jenny Walsh, Clinical Support Manager at Mölnlycke Health Care UK, who presents 'Evaluating the budget impact of a Surgical Site Infection reduction strategy' from 10:10 to 10:30 BST. Alongside the sessions, specialist exhibitors show their solutions, and there's space to build peer connections with other delegates.
