Olly Murs celebrates 15 years in music with a Castle Concert at Edinburgh Castle, one of the final stops on his UK tour.
Olly Murs is playing Edinburgh Castle on Friday 16 July 2027, as part of the Edinburgh Castle Concerts 2027 series. It's one of the final four stops on a 14-show UK tour, so by the time he reaches the castle, the set will have been road-tested across the country.
For a lot of us, Murs is a familiar name from the early days. He first rose to national prominence as a standout contestant on The X Factor in 2009 and has since become a fixture of British pop, with a string of chart-topping albums and singles like 'Please Don't Let Me Go', 'Troublemaker' and 'Dance With Me Tonight'. This tour marks 15 years in music, and the Edinburgh date is one of the last few he'll play on the run.
The venue itself adds a bit of weight to the occasion. He had to cancel a previous Castle Concert on the castle's historic esplanade in 2022 following major knee surgery, which left fans devastated at the time. Coming back to the same spot now is being billed as bringing the tunes, the energy and a proper party, so it's a return that carries a bit more meaning than a standard tour date.

It's a Friday night in the Old Town, and the castle esplanade is a big, open-air space, so it's the kind of gig that works best when you're there with a group. Doors open at 6.45pm, with the show following on. The venue is Edinburgh Castle, Castlehill, Edinburgh Old Town EH1 2NG.
