Glasgow electronic post-punk duo DOSS play an 18+ night at Cabaret Voltaire in Edinburgh.
Doss play Cabaret Voltaire on Friday 4 December, starting at 7:00 PM. They're a Glasgow-based electronic post-punk duo, fronted by Sorley Mackay on lead vocals and guitar and Chilton Fawcett on drums. When they play live, they're joined by Mark Black on bass and Brodie Mackay on vocals, so the four of them will be the ones on stage.
They've built their following on an abrasive sound, biting Glaswegian lyricism and explosive live shows that blend sharp social commentary with distorted bass, fractured electronics and heavy rhythms. It's the kind of set that leans into the friction between the electronic and the live, with the distorted bass and heavy rhythms sitting right at the front. Their reputation has grown through relentless DIY touring and uncompromising performances, and this is one of those nights that brings that Glasgow energy across the border to Edinburgh.
