Design Your Own Perfume Diamond Experience

The Perfume Studio is running its Design Your Own Perfume Diamond Experience in Edinburgh on Thursday 29 October, a two-hour workshop where you get to play perfumer for the afternoon. The whole point is to build your own signature scent from scratch rather than just picking something off a shelf, and you don't need any prior knowledge to do it.

You'll be guided through the session by a professionally trained perfume consultant who walks you through the basics of fragrance: the different fragrance families, the individual notes that make them up, and how scents are classified using the fragrance wheel. From there, you get to experiment with up to 21 signature blends, tweaking and combining until you've landed on a scent you actually like. Once you've perfected your blend, it's bottled into a glass atomiser for you to take home. The studio also registers your creation in their library, so when you eventually run out, you can order refills of your own scent.

It's designed for beginners, so it works as a treat for yourself, a celebration with friends, a mother-and-daughter day, or a way to mark a special occasion. The session lasts around two hours, and the voucher is valid for 12 months, with the experience available at 32 locations across the UK, including Edinburgh. It's £79.00 per person.
