Ghost stories 'The Room in the Tower' by E.F. Benson and 'The Captain of the Polestar' by Arthur Conan Doyle brought to life by The Book of Darkness & Light.
The Book of Darkness & Light bring two ghost stories to The Banshee Labyrinth on Friday 8 January, as part of Deepest Fears: Ghost Stories. The night is built around a single performer, known as the Storyteller, who takes the lead on both tales and guides the audience through them. The two stories on the bill are The Room in the Tower by E.F. Benson and The Captain of the Polestar by Arthur Conan Doyle.
It's a double bill of classics, and the Storyteller is the one who brings them to life. The whole evening is presented under the name The Book of Darkness & Light, which is also the name of the company behind it. They've spent their time on original plays like SHIVERS and UPON THE STAIR, and they've put on a production of A Christmas Carol that's toured both across the UK and internationally. This is a different kind of night from those—two ghost stories told live on stage rather than a full play.
