Competitive darts tournament with four knockout rounds, darts provided on the night and prizes for podium finishes.
Malones Leith is hosting a darts tournament on Wednesday 18 November, part of the pub's newest competitive darts series. It's built for fans to meet other players, compete, and win prizes, so it works as much for a regular as it does for someone who usually just watches from the sidelines.
The format is a knockout across four rounds, and the stakes climb as you go. The first round is a best-of-three legs; the second and the semi-finals move up to five; and the final is a best-of-seven. If you're not used to the terminology, a leg is just a single game of darts, and the best-of format means the first player to win that many legs takes the match. Darts are provided on the night, so you don't need to bring your own set to get involved.
There are prizes for the podium finishes, which are confirmed on the night based on the number of entries. Each ticket includes a house pint on arrival, so you've got your first drink sorted before you even step up to the oche.
